Cher grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She began taking photographs in college and has worked professionally ever since graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California in 1983.

For over twenty years Cher's creative talent and distinctive style have earned her the reputation of being one of the finest portrait artists in her area. Cher provides a wonderland for children & families.   Her award winning portrait collection includes beautiful images of children, along with their parents, in a style reminiscent of Impressionism. "I create each portrait as a very personal piece of art revealing the magic, charm, and enduring innocence that is every child's gift to share."

Cher now operates out of her Boise studio, located in a 100 year old dairy farmhouse on 1/2 acre with grounds offering a variety of settings from flowering gardens and white picket fences, Victorian porches, fences, trees, swings, wheat fields and corn fields, providing a wonderland for children.

Through her exceptional work, Cher is a supporter of the following organizations:

Showings of her work include the Holter Museum of Art in Helena, Montana, Arizona State University, Los Angeles, Anaheim and Santa Barbara, California, First Street Gallery in Eagle, Idaho,  and the Artist Wall at Noodles Restaurant in Boise, Idaho.  The Parade of Homes has been a yearly event since 1995.
